Job summary

Scrambly is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build and run the data platform behind the commercial engine. You will maintain pipelines turning raw events and feeds into trusted tables used by the business to size opportunities and set thresholds.

As an early data-team hire, you will work with the Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams to improve existing systems and build missing components, with ownership and independence aligned to your contributions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or related role with production pipelines.
• Proficient SQL and data modelling with warehouse design.
• Ability to translate business questions into measurable metrics.
• Strong Google Cloud experience: BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub.
• Proficiency in Python for data tasks and code review using Git.
• Self-directed, proactive, and able to work in a small team.
• English at B2+; clear documentation and collaboration with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and model analytical pipelines in Dataform on BigQuery, from source data to trusted tables.
• Analyse and recommend commercial actions based on data; translate findings for non-technical teams.
• Take ownership of existing pipelines; document and run them in production.
• Make data trustworthy with testing, assertions, and alerting; investigate anomalies.
• Raise engineering standards: optimize warehouse costs, reduce duplication, establish best practices.
• Collaborate with Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams.
