Job summary

Nscale is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Deputy Manager to lead the AI Data Center in Glomfjord. You will be responsible for all devices and infrastructure, ensuring round‑the‑clock reliability for high‑performance workloads and coordinating with internal teams and clients.

You will mentor a team of engineers and technicians, optimize power and cooling, manage inventory, and drive improvements to SLA and KPI performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years managing data centers, with HPC/GPU focus.
Technical expertise in HPC, GPU deployment, power, cooling, and environmental systems.
Experience with inventory management and leading/developing teams.
Nice to have: CDCP/CDCS, NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, and AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

Site & Infrastructure Management: accountable for all devices and infrastructure at the data center.
Ensure 24/7 operational reliability for AI workloads.
Monitor power, cooling, and environmental conditions; address risks proactively.
Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of HPC and GPU systems.
Lead and mentor engineers, technicians, and support staff.
Plan shift schedules for continuous coverage and on-call availability.
Serve as primary client POC with regular SLA/KPI reporting.
Collaborate with vendors for procurement, repairs, and upgrades.
Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure smooth operation and project delivery.
