Job summary

iPS Powerful People (B Corp™) in Vlaardingen is seeking a Yard Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient yard operations and to oversee maintenance, inspections, and certification of equipment.

You will coordinate inventory, manage spare parts, tools, PPE and consumables, and oversee loading, unloading, storage and dispatch of materials. You will also coordinate external contractors and serve as the main point of contact for yard operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in yard or similar environments.
• Supervisory role overseeing equipment and operations.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CMMS experience a plus.
• Safety‑oriented with attention to detail.

Yard Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of yard activities, ensuring equipment, tools, and materials are maintained, certified, and ready for use. This role combines technical oversight, logistics coordination, inventory management, and support of daily yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, repairs, and certification of equipment.
• Identify and report equipment damage, defects, and maintenance requirements.
• Monitor yard operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
• Manage inventory levels, spare parts, tools, PPE, and consumables.
• Oversee loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of equipment and materials.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers for specialist maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records and operational reports.
• Support mobilization and demobilization activities in collaboration with project and offshore teams.
• Act as the main point of contact for yard-related operational matters.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, logistics, offshore, marine, or industrial environment.
• Supervisory experience involving equipment, operations, or technical teams.
• Good technical understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS systems is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with a strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
