For one of our clients in the offshore transport and installation industry, we are looking for an Equipment Manager.
Our client is a world-leading offshore construction company, specializing in transporting, installing, and removing offshore energy infrastructure. With a strong focus on innovation, safety, and sustainability, they complex projects for the offshore energy industry using one their specialized fleet of heavy lift vessels.
As an Equipment Manager of an asset, you are accountable for its technical, financial, and safety performance, both in the short and long term. You ensure that the asset remains fit for purpose, reliable, and ready to support challenging offshore projects. You are not only a technical authority but also thrive in a project-driven environment, where you work closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize asset performance and deliver strategic improvements.
You are accountable for:
- Providing complete, fit-for-purpose, and reliable technical and financial asset input for tenders and project opportunities.
- Coordinating the planning of Repair & Maintenance (R&M) and equipment investment programs to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness.
- Monitoring and supervising R&M and investment procedures and activities.Defining and establishing R&M project teams and leading multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Initiating and coordinating equipment inspections and technical assessments.
- Setting priorities for R&M and investment activities based on operational requirements and risk assessments. Approving scopes of work, project plans, and schedules for R&M activities.
- Leading Life Time Extension (LTE) projects, ensuring assets remain safe, compliant, and operationally efficient throughout their extended service life.
- Managing technical risks, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations related to LTE and major asset improvement projects.
Is this the job for you?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Nautical Studies, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of complex equipment and technical specifications.
- Proven experience in equipment management of large-scale and complex installations.
- Experience leading Life Time Extension (LTE), asset upgrade, or major maintenance projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and project management skills.
- Ability to balance technical, operational, financial, and safety requirements in a dynamic offshore environment.
