Job summary

Framo Nederland is seeking a Service / Electrical Engineer to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning and repair work on FRAMO pumping systems aboard vessels worldwide, collaborating directly with customers to keep critical equipment running safely and reliably.

Initial work involves visual inspections and service preparation in the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp, with global assignments lasting days to weeks.

Qualifications

• Technical education at MBO level, preferably in electrical engineering.
• Strong focus on service and customers.
• Interest in pumping systems and shipping.
• Good English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and to sail with vessels when required.
• Flexibility: no 9-to-5 mentality, and reasonable availability on weekends and public holidays by arrangement.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude. You enjoy working independently and handle responsibility well.
• Preferably based in South Holland (Zuid-Holland).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, commissioning and service activities on marine equipment and FRAMO pumping systems.
• Prepare service jobs for efficient execution in accordance with established procedures and service standards.
• Travel worldwide to vessels, shipyards and customer locations, including sailing with vessels when required.
• Diagnose electrical and control system faults, as well as hydraulic and mechanical issues, and provide effective technical solutions.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company and customer requirements.
• Document findings, actions and recommendations in detailed service reports, and register your working hours and expenses.
• Obtain customer sign-off and maintain professional communication throughout service assignments.
• Provide technical advice to customers and feedback to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and technical competence.
