Job summary

Versado Personeelsdiensten seeks a Working Foreman in green maintenance in the Horst region. You will direct a small team of gardeners, lead on-site operations and ensure high-quality green spaces. You are the first on-site contact and report progress to the site supervisor, coordinating with the district manager.

A strong safety mindset and hands-on leadership are essential. You’ll manage planting, maintenance of parks and company grounds, and occasional administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience directing colleagues in outdoor green-maintenance
• Strong communication with team, supervisors, and site manager
• Reliable with safety-focused mindset and punctuality
• Experience working in green spaces, parks, or sports fields preferred
• Willingness to obtain VCA certification if not already held

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide a team of at least 2 assistant gardeners on site

• Construct, renovate and maintain parks, green spaces, sports fields and company gardens
• Plant trees, shrubs and perennials; remove weeds as needed
• Mow greenery and paved areas; perform basic maintenance tasks

Job description

Are you socially strong? Do you know how to motivate others to get started with work? And does being the first point of contact on-site sound perfect to you? Then start as a working foreman in green maintenance in the Horst region.

For one of our clients, we are looking for a working foreman in green maintenance. In this role, you are responsible for directing and guiding a great team of at least 2 assistant gardeners. Together with your team, you go out to make sure your maintenance district looks absolutely top-notch. You direct your team and ensure that work is carried out correctly. Together, you make sure the grass is truly greener. Besides carrying out assigned tasks, you are also alert to spots where maintenance is needed. You raise these observations during discussions with the district manager, so action can be taken. Once a job is completed, you report to the site supervisor. Good communication skills are therefore important, both towards your colleagues and towards supervisors.

On top of that, you're always eager to roll up your sleeves yourself and pick up the brushcutter, get to work with the hedge trimmer, or grab a hoe. So you lead by setting a good example. Seeing immediate results of your work is what makes you feel good.
