Job summary
Villeroy & Boch Group in the Netherlands seeks an experienced R&D leader to drive product development and industrialization of Wellness products from concept to market launch. You will lead the Wellness R&D Engineering team and ensure cross-functional collaboration across the Netherlands and beyond.
You will shape materials and production processes, translate innovations into market-ready concepts, and align development with design, quality, cost, timing, and regulatory requirements while
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry.
- 10+ years in product development, preferably with polymer-based materials and advanced manufacturing.
- Experience leading structured product development processes (e.g., stage-gate).
- Hands-on product design, material selection, production tech, testing and validation.
- Ability to translate technical innovations into market-ready concepts.
- Proficient in SAP, PDM, CAD, CAE; strong problem-solving skills.
- Extensive management experience with diverse international teams.
- Excellent English and Dutch; German a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Responsibilities
- Lead product development from concept to industrialization and market launch.
- Manage Wellness R&D Engineering team and Technical Support Centre in the NL.
- Shape global wellness materials and technology roadmaps.
- Harmonize development processes and engineering methods across regions.
