Job summary

Villeroy & Boch seeks a Design Engineer to take products from initial concept through to series production. You will blend mechanical design with manufacturing know-how to ensure design for manufacturability and scalable production.

You will create precise 3D models and tooling concepts, drive engineering changes, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Product Management to achieve successful market launches. English and Dutch communication are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Engineering Design, or a comparable field.
• Alternatively, vocational training as a Technical Product Designer with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and bring products into series production.
• Own the development from concept through production readiness and series approval.
• Create precise 3D models, production models, tools, and manufacturing aids with CAD.
• Analyze challenges, develop solutions, and implement modifications for production readiness.
• Collaborate with Production, Product Management, Quality, Toolmaking and external partners to drive changes through development cycles.
• Support prototypes, pilot production, and ramp-ups for series manufacturing.
• Create technical documentation and CAD data, ensuring availability and traceability.
