Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Support in Amsterdam to help process shipments safely and efficiently, supporting the warehouse and customer service teams. You will act as the gatekeeper for the branch and oversee the start and end of the process.

Responsibilities include handling shipment documentation, inventory records, and coordination with internal customers and logistics partners, while driving continuous improvement to reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse administration, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of air freight regulations is desirable.
• Fluent oral and written English is a must
• Additional European languages are a plus
• VGB security clearance or ability to obtain it is required
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Team work and ability to follow instructions
• Proficient with computers and main software packages
• Reliable, patient, and calm under pressure
• Customer service oriented and able to exceed expectations
• Overtime may be required; holiday and sickness coverage

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key point of contact for internal customers and drivers
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipment documentation
• Verify and process customs, shipping, receiving, and inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Monitor inventory transactions and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain customer records, reports, and operational documentation
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits through accurate administrative controls
• Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, inventory records, and administrative matters
• Coordinate documentation requirements with internal customers and logistics partners
• Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Assist in problem-solving related to inventory, shipments, and customer requirements
• Support implementation of new systems, processes, and customer programs
• Treat our customers shipments as if they are yours
• Apply continuous improvement to reduce costs

Overview
