Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. in the Netherlands is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to process shipments safely and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely handling of goods.

You will load and unload trucks, stage outbound cargo, and manage domestic and international freight with attention to safety and quality. You will operate sit-down forklifts, re-weigh cargo as needed, keep a clean work area, and use computer software to track inventory.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of air freight regulations desirable
• Reach / counterbalance truck certification required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to use a computer and the main software packages.

• Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Patient and able to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job.
• VGB security clearance (or the ability to obtain it) is required for this position

Responsibilities

Overview

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for processing shipments in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring operational excellence, high efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Sorting, packing, loading, and unloading freight and managing shortages/damages with a CDR report prepared.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks
• Pull and stage outbound goods using loading manifest
• Check in/load out domestic and international freight
• Put freight away in designated areas
• Drive sits down forklift (electrical or propane) in a safe and efficient manner
• Re-weigh freight / cargo as directed; basic math skills required
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety policies
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently
• All other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as the business demands deem necessary
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)
• Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/unsecure/unhealthy conditions and possible improvements
