AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to handle shipments safely and efficiently, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, staging outbound freight, and maintaining accuracy with manifests and paperwork.

The role requires forklift certification and experience in high-volume environments, with attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of air freight regulations desirable.
• Reach / counterbalance truck experience/certification required.
• Detail oriented and thorough, able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Manual handling skills.
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages completely.
• Able to operate and control equipment.
• Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Patient and able to remain calm in stressful / high pressure situations.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job.
• VGB security clearance (or the ability to obtain it) is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.

• Check in/load out domestic and international freight.
• Put freight away in designated areas.
• Drive sit down forklift (electrical or propane) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Re-weigh freight / cargo as directed; basic math skills required.
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety policies.
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently.
• All other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as the business demands deem necessary.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).
• Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/unsecure/unhealthy conditions and possible improvements.

Overview

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for processing shipments in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring operational excellence, high efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Sorting, packing, loading, and unloading freight and managing shortages/damages with a CDR report prepared.
