Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Amsterdam area (Hoofddorp & Schiphol). You will oversee warehouse operations, lead a team, ensure procedures are followed, and coordinate labor to meet forecasts and DL targets.

Key responsibilities include documenting procedures, monitoring KPIs and quality metrics, coaching staff, and driving safety and process improvements across departments. The role requires strong English communication and experience with WMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years (Medior) or 5-6 years (Senior) of warehouse leadership experience.
• Strong English communication skills and proactive issue resolution.
• Experience with WMS/ERP systems and standard MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse operations and labor planning based on forecasts and targets.
• Document procedures and ensure KPI/QC compliance and accurate timecard handling.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development plans for staff.
• Identify safety and efficiency improvements and advise management on process improvements.
• Liaise across departments to ensure smooth workflows and maximum synergy.
• Ensure 5S and QEHS compliance with safety regulations.
• Log and manage IT tickets; plan backups and cover for the direct manager during absence.

Job description

Warehouse Supervisor – Amsterdam area – between € 3.171,82-€ 4.100,- gross per month based on 40 hours.

The Warehouse Supervisor role is available in Hoofddorp & Schiphol area. You will responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse department, managing a team employees. This role involves ensuring procedures are documented and followed, planning and coordinating labor, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintaining quality standards. You will also play a crucial role in leadership, employee development, process improvement, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 6:30 to 15:30 and 14:00 to 23:30 hours

• Salary depending on experience: €3.171,82 to € 4.585,71 gross per month based on 40 hours

What will you do?

• Warehouse Operations: Coordinate the efficient operation and labor based on forecasts and DL targets.
• Procedure and Quality Assurance: Document and ensure adherence to procedures. Monitor and ensure accurate completion of KPIs, Quality Metrics, and timecard exceptions.
• Leadership and Employee Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to staff, hold HR cycle conversations, and determine training needs for employees and implement development programs.
• Process Improvement and Efficiency: Address opportunities for improvement in safety, efficiencies, and overall process management. Advise management on efficiency, effectiveness, and process management.
• Interdepartmental Liaison: Liaise with all operational departments to ensure smooth workflow and maximum synergy.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure 5S ,QEHS, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Log and chase IT tickets to resolve issues: Handle back-up planning for all key positions and replace the direct manager during their absence.

Who are you?

• 2-3 years (Medior) or 5-6 years (senior) of warehouse experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management. Team Leader or Supervisory experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Proficiency in using MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
