Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping. This fixed-term 12-month contract may transition to permanent as the operation grows.

You will guide warehouse personnel, ensure safety, accuracy, and timely deliveries while coordinating with Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams. Fluency in Dutch is preferred, with English communication required.

Qualifications

• Minimum MBO-level education or equivalent relevant vocational qualification.
• 3-5 years of relevant warehousing and/or logistics experience.
• Valid forklift truck license and VCA Basic certification.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; ERP experience beneficial.
• English and Dutch communication skills desired.
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems, inventory analysis, and cycle-count reconciliation.
• Fluency in Dutch and the right to work in the Netherlands required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure safety, accuracy, and on-time completion.

• Identify and implement practical improvements to layout, material flow, and standard work.

Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor leads and coordinates daily warehouse operations, including incoming goods, inspections, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, order picking, packing, shipping, and internal material movements. The role safeguards the condition and traceability of materials, supports production and project schedules, and promotes safe, efficient, and standardized working practices. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to provide day-to-day guidance to warehouse personnel and has the potential to assume broader team-lead responsibilities as the operation develops.

**This role is open on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months initially - potential to go permanent thereafter**

Responsibilities

Operational Supervision: Plan, assign, coordinate, and monitor daily warehouse activities. Balance priorities and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Team Guidance and Development: Provide day-to-day direction, onboarding support, coaching, and practical training. Reinforce accountability, teamwork, and adherence to procedures.

Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, inspection, recording, storage, and organization of materials. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, investigation, and corrective action.

Order Fulfillment: Supervise picking, packing, labeling, staging, and preparation of materials and orders for internal use or shipment.

Shipping and Receiving: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, documentation, returns, and communication with internal stakeholders and logistics providers.

Quality Control: Ensure incoming goods and warehouse transactions are checked appropriately. Escalate and support resolution of damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials.

Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse areas. Ensure equipment is used correctly and safety requirements are consistently followed.

Systems and Data Accuracy: Ensure timely and correct ERP transactions, stock updates, and warehouse records. Support improvements in data quality and traceability.

Problem Solving and Escalation: Resolve operational issues within the authority’s role and elevate material, capacity, quality, safety, or schedule risks promptly.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement practical improvements to warehouse layout, material flow, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, Projects, Quality, Engineering, and Service to align priorities and material availability.

Skills:

Strong warehouse and logistics knowledge with the ability to organize and prioritize daily operations.

Facilities Management Support

Experience supporting workplace and facilities operations, including:

Conducting basic workplace and building-condition checks and escalating maintenance or safety issues.

Coordinating access and support for contractors, service providers, and facility-related activities.

Tracking maintenance requests and maintaining basic facilities records.

Monitoring facility consumables and arranging replenishment when required.

Supporting the readiness of workspaces, meeting rooms, common areas, and shared equipment.

Assisting with office/workshop moves, workspace changes, and facility-related equipment relocation.

Supporting housekeeping contractors, waste management, recycling, and environmental initiatives.

Escalating urgent facilities issues that may impact safety, operations, or business continuity.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Minimum MBO-level education or equivalent relevant vocational qualification.

At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehousing and/or logistics, including experience coordinating work or guiding colleagues.

Valid forklift truck license and VCA Basic certification.

Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.

Ability to communicate effectively English and Dutch (desired).

Sound understanding of safe warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and material handling.

Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems, inventory analysis, and cycle-count reconciliation.

Experience supporting quality inspections and technical documentation.

Fluency in Dutch Language and the Right to Work in the Netherlands is required.

DESIRED

• Experience supervising or acting as senior point of contact for a small operational team.
