Job summary

Oceanco, based in the Netherlands with facilities in Alblasserdam and Zwijndrecht, seeks an experienced warehouse professional to join our project teams. You will manage accurate warehouse administration and stock, ensuring timely availability of tools and equipment for yacht construction.

Fluency in English is required; Dutch is a plus. A relevant MBO degree and at least five years in similar roles (maritime preferred), plus solid MS Office skills, are expected.

Qualifications

• MBO degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years’ proven experience in similar roles, preferably maritime.
• Fluency in English; Dutch proficiency is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.

Your purpose:

Ensuring accurate warehouse administration and effective stock control, all in accordance with internal procedures and guidelines.

Enabling the timely availability of tools & equipment for projects and supporting cost control by preventing unnecessary purchasing and waste.

What will your challenges be?

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records in the warehouse management system (SMRT)
• Monitor stock levels to prevent unnecessary purchasing
• Ensure proper storage and tracking of tools and equipment

Goods Receipt & Condition Control

• Handle incoming, outgoing, and returned items
• Perform visual and administrative checks
• Record discrepancies and ensure proper repair, labeling, and storage

Project Support

• Coordinate timely and accurate issuance of tools and equipment to project teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted project execution

Safety & Compliance

• Actively promote and follow safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Identify and report risks or deviations
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment across all locations
• Ensure compliance with procedures and internal guidelines
• Contribute to process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders and management

What do we ask for?

• Fluency in English; Dutch proficiency is an advantage
• MBO degree in a relevant field
• 5 years’ proven experience in similar roles, preferably within the maritime industry
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
