Job summary

Oceanco, based in the Netherlands at our Zwijndrecht facility, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead fleet support for our bespoke yachts, coordinating warranties, refits and spare parts across international partners.

You will own commercial and operational processes, develop multidisciplinary scopes, present proposals with cost calculations and risk analyses, and ensure timely delivery in close collaboration with owners, co-makers and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Dutch and/or English.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
  • Proven solid experience in project management within complex technical environments.
  • Proven strong commercial awareness combined with technical understanding.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with project management and reporting tools.
  • Competences: resilience, customer orientation, planning & organizing, conflict management, result-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Realize maximum customer satisfaction by managing fleet support activities for custom-built yachts, including additional project work, warranty, spare parts, and refits.
  • Take ownership of both the commercial and operational process, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of services in close cooperation with internal teams, co-makers, and the owner's representatives.
  • Act as primary point of contact for owners and owner's representatives, addressing technical and commercial questions and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assess, specify, and develop multidisciplinary work scopes, including additional work, warranty, refits, and spare parts, in close cooperation with internal teams and co-makers.
  • Prepare and present proposals, including cost calculations, planning, risk analysis, and scope demarcation, and negotiate and conclude contracts within your mandate.
  • Lead and manage fleet support projects worldwide, ensuring timely availability of resources, materials, and services.
  • Coordinate co-makers and monitor progress, quality, and compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and contractual agreements.
  • Identify and manage risks, advise on additional work, and ensure proper execution of change orders and document control.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the existing fleet to ensure continuity, customer satisfaction, and maximise service and refit opportunities.
  • Ensure structured communication and alignment with all stakeholders through regular meetings and reporting.
  • Deliver clear reporting on progress, financials, risks, and performance, and ensure follow-up on outstanding issues.

Your purpose:
