Ambassade Hotel in Amsterdam is seeking a Waiter/Bar employee to deliver friendly service across restaurant, bar, terrace, and events. You welcome guests, guide beverage choices, and help create a welcoming atmosphere along the waterfront.

In a dynamic setting with live events and various spaces, you’ll rotate between duties, maintain smooth operations, and contribute to memorable guest experiences while upholding high hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food service, or bar operations is a plus.
• You enjoy working in different areas including restaurant service, bar service, terrace operations, and events.
• You communicate easily with guests and colleagues and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift by preparing the bar, restaurant, terrace, or event space and restock supplies.

• Switch between bar, restaurant, terrace, and event spaces during service.

As a Waiter/Bar employee at Rafel , you will work in a unique waterfront venue where street art, local food, music, and hospitality come together. You welcome guests in the restaurant, at the bar, on the terrace, and during events.

Whether guests visit for a meal, a drink by the water, live music, art, or a private gathering, you provide approachable and personal service. You feel at home in a vibrant environment where hospitality, art, and events seamlessly blend together.

Daily tasks

You start your shift by preparing the bar, restaurant, terrace, or event space. You review reservations and scheduled activities, restock supplies, and ensure everything is ready to welcome guests.

During service, you greet guests, take orders, and advise them on our locally sourced, accessible menu and beverage selection. You maintain an overview of operations and easily switch between the bar, restaurant, terrace, and event spaces.

Scheduled for a bar shift? Behind the bar, you prepare and serve coffee, wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages.

During events, you assist with setup, guest reception, and execution. From live performances and DJ nights to group reservations and private events, you adapt quickly and contribute to a smooth and successful operation.
