A five-star hotel in Amsterdam is seeking a Bar Supervisor to oversee daily bar operations, lead a team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. Qualifications

• Passionate about beverages, cocktails and hospitality.

• Fluent in English and preferably Dutch.

• Previous experience in a bar or hospitality supervisory role is a plus.
• Can communicate fluently in English and preferably Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the bar inspiring the team.
• Supervise bar setup, closing procedures, and cleanliness.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle feedback.
• Support in creating and implementing new beverage concepts, promotions and seasonal menus.
• Monitor guest satisfaction during service and handle feedback or complaints with professionalism and flair.
• Handle essential administrative tasks like scheduling and email communication.
• Supervise and support the team during your shift, keeping the overview and energy alive.
• Coach, train and inspire ambassadors to deliver our brand standards with style.
• Assist in inventory management, including stock control, ordering and waste minimisation.
• Fulfil other reasonable job duties as instructed by the manager.

Responsibilities

The Beverage & Food Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring guests enjoy exceptional service and memorable experiences. From crafting perfect drinks to maintaining a lively, welcoming atmosphere, you lead by example and inspire your team to deliver excellence. You coordinate with the Bar Manager to ensure smooth service, manage stock and schedules, and uphold the highest standards of quality, safety and guest satisfaction.

• Lead the daily operations of our B&F outlets, ensuring everything runs smoothly from morning to night.
• Supervise bar setup and closing procedures, ensuring the bar area is clean, organized and fully stocked.
• Oversee cash handling, POS operations and end‑of‑shift reconciliations.
• Support in creating and implementing new beverage concepts, promotions and seasonal menus.
• Monitor guest satisfaction during service and handle feedback or complaints with professionalism and flair.
• Handle essential administrative tasks like scheduling and email communication.
• Supervise and support the team during your shift, keeping the overview and energy alive.
• Coach, train and inspire ambassadors to deliver our brand standards with style.

A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand‑new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference centre will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
