Job summary

Marriott International's W Amsterdam is seeking a dedicated W Lounge Supervisor to oversee the W Lounge, bar, In‑Room Dining and Banqueting, delivering luxury service on a fast‑paced, high‑energy setting in Dam Square.

You will supervise teams, ensure compliance, coordinate with other departments, and provide personalized “whatever/whenever” service while maintaining a spotless environment and supporting peak periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English; Dutch and other languages are an advantage.
• Experience working in nightlife venues (bars/lounges) is preferable.
• Work Permit for the Netherlands is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the W Lounge, bar, In‑Room Dining and Banqueting, ensuring luxury service and an on-brand W experience
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards
• Maintain smooth communication and cooperation with other departments to deliver the desired guest experience
• Act as the on-site expert for all operational matters, keeping abreast of everything happening in the hotel
• Handle administrative duties such as scheduling and stock counts
• Oversee HR functions: appraisals, performance reviews, coaching, and employee welfare
• Motivate the team for excellent performance, enforce discipline when necessary and participate in performance evaluations
• Ensure all service standards and operating procedures are followed from beginning to end of orders and interactions
• Provide personalized “whatever/whenever” service and create memorable experiences
• Maintain a clean and sparkling environment
• Be present during peak periods, including weekends and evenings
• Operate in a fast-paced environment under pressure, with loud music
• Put guests at the centre of everything you do, and create unforgettable moments
