Job summary

Lumion is seeking a VP Engineering to unify and energize an engineering organization and set a clear technical vision with AI at the center. You will lead a fragmented team and transform it into a high-performance unit that can push into new territory.

Reporting to the CEO and partnering with the Head of Product, you will shape the engineering foundation, scale platform, and drive adoption of AI across the product suite. Netherlands-based, hybrid work with on-site presence.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of total engineering experience.
• At least 5 years leading engineering teams.
• Ability to unify fragmented teams and build cohesion.
• Strong AI product capability and infra framing.
• Ability to partner with Product, Design and business leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build a unified, high-performance engineering team with clear direction.
• Define and communicate a compelling technical vision.
• Establish rituals, norms and ways of working for momentum.
• Develop and coach engineering leads across the function.
• Drive AI transformation with urgency, structure and governance.
• Define and implement a company-wide AI adoption framework.
• Shape the product vision with Head of Product and contribute to platform strategy.
• Own the engineering foundation: reliability, security, compliance for the stack.
• Lead hiring across engineering and manage budget and tooling decisions.
