Job summary

Lummus Technology is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the Advanced Intelligence Group in Brno. You will architect, build, and deploy AI solutions integrated into business workflows, collaborating with global experts in process engineering and project management.

You will lead data pipelines, model training, and deployment, focusing on performance, IP security, and rapid innovation in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or other engineering discipline, Mathematics, Data Science, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in an engineering or applied technical discipline.
• Proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (Pandas, NumPy, and others).
• Strong experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong experience building modern GenAI stacks, including RAG pipelines, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or similar.
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment tooling (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Git for version control, including repository management, branching, and push/pull workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with business and engineering leaders to understand their core challenges and translate those needs into technical specifications for AI solutions.
• Design, build, train, and deploy a wide range of machine learning and generative AI models to solve complex problems.
• Develop and manage the data pipelines required for our AI systems, ensuring data quality and readiness for model training and inference.
• Integrate AI models into existing Lummus business applications and workflows using APIs and other services to create seamless user experiences.
• Fine-tune and evaluate large language models (LLMs) and vision models on our proprietary data, with a focus on performance, accuracy, and IP security.
• Own the full lifecycle of AI applications, from initial prototyping and experimentation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Foster innovation by researching new techniques and technologies to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
