adidas is opening a new store in Alexandrium, Rotterdam, and seeks a part-time Visual Merchandiser to lead the store’s visual direction and campaigns.

You will align with leadership, marketing, and regional teams to create compelling environments that drive the customer journey and commercial results. The role requires creativity, mentoring, and a proactive, cross-functional mindset to deliver standout merchandising in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 12+ months Visual Merchandising experience in sports/fashion retail.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs and the impact of creative execution on sales.
• Flexible schedule with campaign launches, travel, weekends, or early mornings as needed.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience training and developing visual merchandising teams.

Responsibilities

• Showcase creativity through displays aligned with adidas brand guidelines and campaigns.
• Plan and execute visual merchandising strategies in-store with management.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports on VM executions and results.
• Train store team to uphold merchandising standards.
• Mentor junior visual merchandisers and support their growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with VM, buying, marketing, and store teams.

YOUR IMPACT

As Visual Merchandiser (part-time), you will be responsible for the overall visual direction, strategy, and execution of merchandising standards across the store. You'll work closely with store leadership, marketing, and regional visual teams to create compelling environments that enhance the customer journey, support business objectives, and bring the brand vision to life.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded creative who can lead with vision, train others, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Showcase creativity through visually appealing product displays in line with the adidas brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns through window displays, instore displays, category presentation, in-store communication, and mannequin styling.
• Plan and execute visual merchandising strategies in store in alignment with the store Management to maximise the commercial opportunities.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports on visual merchandising sharing best practice Visual Merchandising executions and commercial results.
• Proactively communicate to the store team through training to ensure all merchandising standards are met and upheld contributing to the success of the store and customers' shopping experience.
• Act as a mentor to junior visual merchandisers, supporting their development and growth
• Bring team player mentality, working cross-functionality with the wider Visual Merchandisers, buying, marketing and store teams to deliver outside of the box thinking and innovative Visual Merchandising initiatives during projects and resets.
• Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 12+ months Visual Merchandising experience in a sports/fashion retail environment
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs and the ability to connect creative execution with commercial impact
• Able to be flexible in-line with campaign launches, planned layout changes and out of store opportunities. Open to travel (if supporting any other stores) and to work early mornings or weekends as required.
• Ability to multi-task and work with a tight timeline.
• Good MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ensure all windows are presented to high standards including mannequin dressing and positioning, lighting direction, cleanliness, steaming, and price communication.
• Experience in training, coaching, and developing visual merchandising teams
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. Innovative, creative, organization, planning & problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
