Job summary

Everest Commerce Group in Amsterdam is seeking a hands-on filmmaker and editor who can take content from an idea to a finished video. You’ll work with the founders, filming conversations, everyday work and events, shaping footage into stories people want to watch.

Everest acquires and operates established consumer and e-commerce businesses. We help them improve how they sell products, manage stock, serve customers and run their finances. Alongside this, we are building Everest Core: shared software, data and AI tools that make everyday work more effective.

Your role

We’re looking for a hands-on filmmaker and editor who can take content from an idea to a finished video. You’ll work closely with founders, filming conversations, everyday work and events, then shaping the footage into stories people want to watch.

What you’ll do

• Plan and film: spot worthwhile stories, prepare shoots and capture strong footage with clear sound and thoughtful lighting.
• Edit for different formats: create longer YouTube videos and short clips for LinkedIn and other social channels, with strong openings, clear pacing and accurate captions.
• Own the process: organise footage, coordinate feedback and deliver finished videos on a reliable publishing rhythm.
• Keep improving: learn from audience response and use AI-assisted tools to speed up transcription, selects and editing while preserving your creative judgment.

Your first priorities

• Agree the audience, initial stories and a realistic filming and delivery schedule with the founders.
• Take the first story from a shoot plan through filming, editing and feedback to a finished video and short clips.
• Set up an organised footage library and repeatable editing workflow, then use feedback to improve the next release.

What you bring

• A portfolio showing both filming and editing, with a good eye for composition, sound, pacing and storytelling. Personal projects count.
• Confidence working independently with a camera and editing software, and the ability to put people at ease on camera.
• Initiative, curiosity about entrepreneurship and reliable follow-through from the first idea to the final export.
