Job summary

Van Lanschot Kempen is seeking a motivated UX Research intern to join the Design & Research team. You will conduct user research and help improve user experiences across client projects, collaborating with senior designers and researchers.

The role requires 32–40 hours weekly for at least five months, with a strong emphasis on UX methods, tooling (Sketch/Figma), and AI-enabled design processes. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, start-up–like DIA environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in UX-related field.
• Strong interest in UX research methodologies and real practice in industry.
• Strong understanding of UX principles and design tools such as Sketch or Figma.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior designers and researchers.
• Proven interest in AI tools to accelerate or improve the design process.
• A portfolio highlighting design work and thought process.
• People-minded and eager to learn.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Design & Research team. You will join this team as a User Experience (UX) Researcher, where you will have the opportunity to do user research and improve the user experience. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced designers and researchers to create innovative and engaging user experiences for our clients.

You also have the following tasks:

• Collaborating with the UX team to design and develop wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for the various product teams;

• Assisting in usability testing and user feedback sessions;

• Creating research agents;

• Aiding the development of internal research repositories;

• Keeping up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies including those powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• You have good mastery of English, both oral and written
