Job summary

Fiducial is seeking a UAV Robotics/Mechatronics Engineer to bridge autonomy software and flight-ready hardware. You will pilot UAVs in R&D and field environments, including multirotor and fixed-wing systems, and integrate sensors and compute platforms.

The role requires hands-on flight operations, debugging embedded Linux on Jetson/ Raspberry Pi, and developing interfaces between flight controllers (ArduPilot, PX4) and autonomy stack.

Qualifications

• Hands-on flight operations experience and piloting enthusiasm.
• Experience debugging embedded Linux systems and drone hardware.
• Knowledge of flight controllers and autonomy interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Pilot and operate UAV platforms in test, R&D, and field environments.
• Perform pre/post-flight and maintenance routines across airframes and systems.
• Develop interfaces between flight controllers and autonomy stack.
• Debug system-level issues on embedded compute platforms.
• Design hardware integration and validate wiring, soldering, and assemblies.
