Job summary

DeltaQuad in the Netherlands is seeking a hands-on UAV Calibration Technician & Test Pilot to validate and optimize our VTOL drone platforms. You will prepare, execute, and analyse flight tests, ensuring reliable system behaviour across operational scenarios.

You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, production and field operations, calibrating sensors, autopilot interfaces, propulsion, and payloads, and translating test results into actionable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field.
• EU drone pilot certificates A1, A2, and A3 are required for UAV flight operations.
• Experience with UAV systems, robotics, or flight testing is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute structured UAV flight tests for system validation and performance verification.
• Calibration of sensors, autopilot systems, propulsion interfaces, and payload integrations.
• Develop and maintain flight test procedures and validation protocols.
• Analyze flight logs and telemetry to evaluate system behaviour and performance.
• Validate system functionality across VTOL, transition, and fixed-wing phases.
• Document test results and provide feedback to engineering and production teams.
• Support improvement of system performance, reliability, and flight stability.
• Ensure safe drone operations in compliance with aviation regulations.
