Job summary

Citco Amsterdam seeks a proactive corporate lawyer to manage legal and corporate matters for strategic clients. You will draft and review documents, assess third‑party legal data, and liaise with clients and advisors to ensure compliance across local and international laws.

You will identify and drive process improvements, coordinate KYC with authorities, and collaborate with global teams. Mentoring junior staff and working in an international environment are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• University degree in corporate or fiscal law with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred.
• Experience with multinational investment structures is a definite advantage.
• Accountable, responsible and reliable; able to work in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all legal and corporate matters for our strategic clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, assess relevant legal documentation and advise from third parties and Citco support teams.
• Signal any legal/tax issue in a transaction and liaise with the client/advisor to ensure compliance with local, international and industry requirements.
• Look into process improvements across the serviced portfolio of client entities.
• Coordinate the KYC process and statutory fillings with local authorities.
• Report to an Account Manager and collaborate with client teams, external legal professionals, government institutions and Citco offices worldwide.
• Train junior staff members and oversee their activities.

Working with our Global SubsidiaryGovernance Services (GSGS) team, you will work with multinationals, corporatesand private clients to provide critical support that helps them meet theincreasing regulatory and compliance requirements that shape the industry.

Your Role:

Under the supervision of a senior team member:

• Responsible for all legal and corporate matters for our strategic clients.


• Draft and review legal documents, assess relevant legal documentation and advise from third parties and/or Citco support teams.


• Signal any legal/tax issue in a transaction and proactively liaise with the client and/or advisor in order to ensure that local, international and/or industry specific legal requirements are met.


• Responsible to look into process improvements across the serviced portfolio of client entities.


• Coordinate the KYC process and statutory fillings with local authorities.


• Report directly to an Account Manager and work closely with the client team, external legal professionals, government institutions and both local colleagues and Citco offices worldwide.


• Responsible to train junior staff members and oversee their activities.

About You:

• Hands-on mentality and are willing to assist in diverse and challenging subjects.


• At ease with several digital programs and applications.


• University degree in corporate or fiscal law with at least 2 years’ experience in a comparable position, exposure to multinational investment structures is a definite advantage.


• Fluent in English and Dutch is a preference.


• Accountable, responsible and reliable and enjoy working in an international team.
