Job Description
At Adevinta, we believe in changing commerce together — giving millions of people across
At Adevinta, we believe in changing commerce together — giving millions of people across Europe a smarter, more sustainable way to buy and sell. Our locally loved marketplaces, including leboncoin, Kleinanzeigen, InfoJobs, Marktplaats, and Milanuncios, connect buyers and sellers every day across more than ten countries, creating perfect matches at scale. Headquartered in Amsterdam and backed by Blackstone and Permira, we combine the reach of a large platform business with the pace and purpose of a company still in transformation. Our Corporate Finance team sits at the centre of that: advising the CFO, supporting major transactions, and keeping the financial engine running across a complex multi-entity structure — so that the business behind the mission is built to last.
Job Requirements
This is a broad, hands-on second-step role for someone who wants genuine exposure to corporate finance topics early in their career — not a support function, but a seat at the table. You will work on financing, M&A, and portfolio decisions, while also owning recurring analytical and operational workstreams. Every Adevintan has an impact; in this role, yours shows up in the decisions that shape how we grow and invest. The team is small and the work is varied. On any given week you might be building a scenario model for a refinancing, stress‑testing a cash flow forecast, or working through the mechanics of an intercompany loan. You will be trusted to deliver with limited hand‑holding and expected to ask the right questions when you need them.
What We Are Looking For
- A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a quantitative field
- A foundation in financial modelling and quantitative analysis; comfortable building and pressure‑testing models in Excel
- Initial exposure to treasury or corporate finance topics (cash management, FX, debt, M&A, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- A direct communication style: you write and speak clearly, and you are not afraid to push back or ask when something is unclear
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Familiarity with a TMS (e.g. FIS) and ERP (e.g. SAP) is a plus; experience with Power BI or a similar data visualisation tool is an advantage
You do not expect every process to be perfectly documented. You are pragmatic, take ownership of your work, and improve things as you go.
Job Responsibilities
What You Will Do
Strategic and transaction support
- Support refinancing, M&A, and divestment analyses as transactions arise, including financial modelling, due diligence coordination, and presentation materials for senior stakeholders
- Prepare scenario analyses and ad hoc financial analyses
- Support preparation of reporting packages and analyses for the PE sponsors (Blackstone and Permira) and the board, including debt covenant compliance, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc requests around the capital structure
Cash and working capital
- Contribute to and improve short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting across the group
- Assist with working capital reporting and variance analysis
Treasury operations
- Support FX and interest rate risk management, including derivative valuations and hedging documentation
- Administer intercompany loans: drawdowns, repayments, interest accruals, and covenant tracking
- Assist with day‑to‑day treasury operations: cash pooling, bank account management, bank guarantees, and trade finance across multiple legal entities
