Job summary

DSV Moerdijk is seeking a Transport Planner to lead daily driver planning and deployment for international routes across Europe. You will match drivers to routes, consider driving hours, ADR regulations, and multi-stop needs while coordinating with other DSV locations to keep operations moving smoothly.

Join the ICP department to stay organized, make decisive calls, and contribute to special logistics projects within The Netherlands.

You get it done As a transport planner, you are the vital link between planning and execution. Within our ICP department, you ensure that 60 dedicated drivers are efficiently assigned to international routes across Europe every day. You translate the transport plan into the optimal deployment of our regular charter drivers, balancing driver availability, legal requirements, customer needs, and last-minute operational changes. Thanks to your ability to stay organized and make decisive decisions, our international transport operations keep moving efficiently every day; You’re on it.

How you do this? By taking the lead in the daily planning and deployment of our drivers. You match the right driver to the right international route, coordinate closely with colleagues at other DSV locations, and ensure our own fleet is utilized as efficiently as possible. Working alongside your team, you keep operations running smoothly by staying in control of the planning and responding quickly whenever circumstances change. You achieve this by:

• matching drivers and charters to international routes (taking into account driving hours, ADR regulations, trailer requirements, and complex multi-stop routes);
• monitoring vehicles and routes daily and anticipate deviations;
• solving last-minute issues and coordinate alternative solutions with other DSV locations;
• processing planning updates, changes, and administration in Excel;
• you also contribute to special logistics projects such as relocations within The Netherlands and assignments from Air & Sea or Contract Logistics.

You bring

• experience with fleet planning and preferably also international planning, for example in a role as transport planner, resource planner, or transport coordinator;
• an energetic personality, sociable, and not afraid to speak up and share your opinion;
• strong organizational skills, able to recognise patterns and bring structure to a fast-moving logistics environment;
• a good command of both Dutch (B2 level) and English.
