DSV in Moerdijk is looking for a freight forwarder who can manage and optimize transports by road, sea and air, acting as the key link between customer service, carriers and clients. You will improve planning, document handling and data accuracy, while delivering outstanding service to our global customers.

How you do this? In this freight forwarder role, you manage and optimize the transport and planning process by road, sea, and air. You are the key link between customer service, carriers, and clients. You actively contribute to efficient processes and satisfied customers. Here, you can fully apply and further develop your logistics expertise. You achieve this by:

• managing our order administration, you collect, process, and verify internal and external data to ensure accurate and complete order registration. You quickly identify issues with shipping documentation and proactively come up with solutions;
• setting up, booking, and planning transports, you organize various shipments, source available capacity, negotiate rates within established guidelines, and ensure a smart, efficient daily schedule;
• documenting and reporting, this includes preparing cost calculations, transport documents (e.g., CMRs, transport files), and regular operational reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly);
• ensuring that customers, carriers, and colleagues are always informed about transport status, delays, and changes, in both Dutch and English.

You bring

• work experience as a freight forwarder, shipping agent, planner, logistics coordinator, or a similar role;
• no work experience but recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (HBO level)? You are also invited to apply, we will teach you everything you need to know;
• a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to solving operational challenges;
• the ability to work independently, with strong accuracy and organizational skills in managing your own tasks;
• a good command of Dutch and English, German is a plus.
