Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Trainee Inside Sales Engineer in the Netherlands to kick off a career in technical sales. You will learn to prepare quotations, provide technical and commercial support, and build strong relationships with customers while working with experienced professionals.

You will rotate: six months in Rijswijk and six months in Breda, developing your skills in sales, engineering, and customer interaction within a global team.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
• Technical diploma at HBO level or higher, or strong technical affinity with another field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in sales, engineering, and customer interactions.
• Ability to work in a structured and organized way.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to create quotations using Emerson solutions, products, and services, including third-party offerings.
• Gain experience in handling technical and commercial aspects of customer requests.
• Work closely with the field sales team to follow up on quotes and support customer needs.
• Process customer purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide product and application information to internal and external customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with international back offices to ensure smooth order processing.
• Keep sales administration tools up to date.
• Follow Emerson’s policies, including ethics and trade compliance.
