Job summary

The European Medicines Agency (EMA), based in Amsterdam, invites applications for a Trainee (Data Analytics & Process Automation) in the Financial Management Office. This 10‑month placement offers hands‑on experience turning financial data into insights, developing dashboards and contributing to automated processes.

You will work with finance and procurement specialists, gain exposure to EU reporting requirements, and learn how data visualisation and automation support decision‑making.

Qualifications

• University degree (3+ years) in a relevant field.
• EU citizenship or eligibility to work in the EU including Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
• Student status in Erasmus+ or similar programme, or a PhD/Master student with a previous degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Data management and analytics: collect, structure and analyse financial data.
• Data visualization and reporting: develop dashboards (Power BI) for managers and decision-makers.
• Process improvement and automation: design and implement automation with Power Automate.
• Collaboration: work with finance and procurement specialists and EMA staff.
