Job summary

ING is looking for an Associate in the Centre of Expertise (CoE) Trade Sales in Amsterdam. You will support the Deal Principal through structuring, execution, and delivery of a broad range of Trade products for wholesale banking clients, coordinating with credit, legal, and sector teams to ensure compliant, scalable growth and strong client satisfaction.

You will contribute to identifying growth and cross-sell opportunities, while developing as a technical expert within a dynamic, global Trade

Qualifications

• Minimum +2 years experience in securitisation, structured finance, Wholesale Banking product or sales, or risk management.
• Interest in trade finance and open account trade.
• Interest in credit risk and deal structuring/execution.
• Excellent oral and written English; other languages a plus.
• Academic degree in economics, management, law, engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the Deal Principal in structuring and executing Trade transactions.
• Collaborate with credit, legal, and sector teams to identify client needs.
• Craft commercial presentations for internal and external clients.
• Ensure smooth handover to Trade Sales Account Management for ongoing relationship management.
• Assist in analyzing clients and proposing solutions.
• Liaise with internal and external parties involved in transactions.
• Grow the Trade business by identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Develop understanding to become a technical expert over time.
