Job summary

Starboard Boats is seeking a friendly and energetic Host/Ticketing Associate in Amsterdam to welcome guests, sell tickets, and check guests in for canal cruises. You will be the first point of contact, creating a warm, informative experience and guiding guests through the booking process.

Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages a plus. You will multitask in a fast-paced setting, assist tourists and locals, and represent Starboard Boats with enthusiasm and a guest-centric

Your role is crucial in providing a warm welcome and a smooth start to our guest’s adventure. You will be our guest’s first point of contact, setting the stage for an exceptional experience with your knowledge, enthusiasm, and service.

With our fleet of well-maintained boats, we create memorable experiences for both tourists and locals. Our Captains and Hosts are the heart of these experiences, sharing interesting facts and stories about Amsterdam’s landmarks and hidden gems.

Tasks

• Welcome our guests with a smile at our docksides, located at Amstel and in the Red-Light District.
• Process ticket sales and check guests in with efficiency and accuracy.
• Be a knowledgeable ambassador for Starboard Boats, answering questions and providing recommendations.
• Manage queues and guest flow, ensuring everyone is attended to promptly and with care.
• Keep a detailed record of sales and inquiries, providing valuable feedback to our sales and operations team.
• Keen on sharing information about our products.
