Job summary

agap2 is seeking a Test Engineer in Leiden to engage in testing Solar Array subsystems and components for satellite missions within an international context and a local NL focus.

You will analyze results, support problem solving, and contribute to large international space programmes while collaborating with AIT Managers and engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a technical or high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute functional and qualification tests on Solar Array components and subsystems.
• Analyze test results and report findings to support problem-solving.
• Collaborate with AIT Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers to ensure successful test execution.
• Document tests with clear test procedures and technical reports.
• Assist in continuous improvements of the testing process.
• Support multiple space projects simultaneously.

The position

As a Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

You will support the testing of Solar Array subsystems and components used in satellite missions. You will prepare, execute and document tests to verify that products meet the required quality and performance standards before delivery.

Working closely with AIT Managers, Team Leaders and fellow Engineers, you will analyze test results, support technical problem-solving and contribute to the successful execution of large international space programmes.

• Prepare and execute functional and qualification tests on Solar Array components and subsystems
• Support the verification and validation of products throughout the development process
• Analyze test results and report findings
• Prepare test documentation and technical reports
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
• Contribute to continuous improvements within the testing process
• Support multiple space projects simultaneously

What you bring to the position

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or similar
• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a technical or high-tech manufacturing environment
• Experience with CAD software
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Analytical, proactive and quality-driven mindset
• Aerospace/space experience is a plus, not a requirement
