Job summary

agap2 Netherlands is seeking a CNC Assembly & Integration Technician to work in a multidisciplinary, international environment with a local focus in the Netherlands. Qualifications

  • MBO degree in a technical field (LIS preferred).
  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Workshop Technician.
  • Experience with CNC milling/turning is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming, preferably OneCNC.
  • Experience with or interest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
  • Strong technical and practical, hands-on mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CNC and conventional machining operations (turning and milling).
  • Work on high-precision mechanical components and tooling for aerospace hardware.
  • Combine CNC machining, mechanical assembly, 3D printing, inspection, and problem solving.
  • Collaborate with engineers, work preparation and workshop coordinator to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Create mechanical assemblies using bonding, welding, soldering and torquing.
  • Inspect and sign off on work and procedures per quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with Workshop Coordinator and Work Preparation team on planning and priorities.

The position
As a CNC Assembly & Integration Technician

Key Responsibilities

You will take on a technical and hands-on challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will work on high-precision mechanical components and tooling for the aerospace industry, contributing to both new hardware and modifications to existing hardware.

In this role, you will combine conventional and CNC machining, mechanical assembly, 3D printing, inspection, and technical problem-solving. You will work closely with engineers, work preparation, and the workshop coordinator to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for performing a wide range of precision mechanical workshop activities, from machining and assembly to inspection and maintenance. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute directly to the successful production and modification of high-quality aerospace hardware and tooling.

  • Perform CNC and conventional machining operations, including turning and milling.
  • Perform technical work on existing hardware, including modifications, as well as manufacture new hardware in accordance with technical drawings, manuals, and material specifications.
  • Operate and program 3D printers for the production of various tooling and manufacturing solutions.
  • Develop alternative solutions for technical challenges, propose improvements, and support their implementation.
  • Advise on manufacturability, production methods, and lead times for requested products.
  • Inspect the quality of newly manufactured and modified products, including the use of a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
  • Create mechanical assemblies using techniques such as bonding, welding, soldering, and torquing.
  • Inspect and sign off on your own work, completed products, and relevant procedures in accordance with applicable quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Workshop Coordinator and Work Preparation team regarding machine planning, workload distribution, priorities, and related activities.
  • Manage required materials, tooling, and workshop supplies while maintaining the general workshop inventory.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and actively identify opportunities to improve workshop processes, products, and efficiency.
What you bring to the position
  • MBO degree in a relevant technical field; a degree from LIS (Leidsche Instrumentmakers School) is preferred.
  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Workshop Technician, preferably within a precision mechanical workshop.
  • Experience with CNC milling and/or turning is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience with CAD/CAM programming, preferably OneCNC.
  • Experience with or a strong interest in 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Strong technical and practical skills combined with a hands-on mentality.
  • Innovative mindset and an interest in applying new technologies and techniques within the aerospace industry.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Available 40 hours per week.
