Job summary

Qblox is seeking a Test & Automation Engineer to shape and execute our test strategy across hardware and software. You will design and maintain automated test setups, selecting and integrating T&M equipment, and bring automation expertise to characterization and production.

You will primarily write Python code using OpenTAP and Robot Framework while gaining hands-on lab experience with hardware in the loop. A physics or quantum computing background is nice to have but not required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with test development or automation.
• Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns).
• Comfortable in a Linux command-line environment and debugging on embedded targets.
• Hardware fundamentals and ability to work with T&M equipment and build physical test setups.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute our test strategy across hardware and software.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test setups and integrate T&M equipment.
• Bring automation expertise to characterization and production efforts.
• Write robust Python code using OpenTAP and Robot Framework.
• Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed across test suites.
• Debug issues spanning instrumentation, hardware, firmware, and software.
• Participate in code reviews and raise engineering standards within the team.
