Job summary

Qblox Bv is seeking a Quantum Application Engineer to join our agile product development process. You will craft user stories, maintain the backlog, and bring quantum computing expertise to the engineering teams to improve experimental workflows for our customers.

Ideal candidates have a PhD in Physics or an MS in Computer Science & Engineering with hands-on compiler infrastructure experience, and strong Python skills to bridge physics and software development.

Qualifications

PhD in Physics with quantum technology focus, or MS in Computer Science & Engineering with projects in compiler infrastructure for distributed systems.
Experience compiling quantum programs; full stack from gate level to electronics is highly valued.
Excellent English communication skills; able to convey complex quantum concepts clearly.
Proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
A genuine enthusiasm for learning, sharing knowledge, and thoughtful problem-solving regarding new smart solutions.

Responsibilities

Product Design & Agile Development: Define features with the product team; design and build the application layer; lead with voice of quantum computing expertise within the engineering teams.
Testing & User Experience: Conduct thorough testing of software and hardware; provide feedback to developers; verify UI/UX.
Documentation, Training & Support: Develop tutorials for quantum computing experiments and instrument documentation.
