Job summary

Qblox, a frontier quantum hardware company, seeks a Software Engineer in the Solutions Team to rapidly tailor Python-based integrations and bridge off-the-shelf products with bespoke needs of enterprise customers.

You will design high-level solutions, decide between Python scripting, C/C++ embedded changes, or FPGA adaptations, and drive execution plans with a transdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional engineering experience as System Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Tech Lead in a complex hardware/software environment.
• Deep, comprehensive understanding of full-stack system architecture, spanning from low-level hardware interfaces and embedded C/C++ to high-level Python APIs.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly convert conceptual market requirements into concrete, actionable technical designs.
• A strong drive and excitement for delivering immediate, tangible value to customers on a short-to-mid-term timescale.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills, capable of forging consensus and guiding developers without relying on heavy managerial friction.
• Note: Prior knowledge of Quantum Computing is considered a strong plus, but is not strictly mandatory, as you will partner closely with a QAE for domain-specific physics context.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Design & Decision Making: Gather and analyze complex requirements and design optimal solutions within Qblox ecosystem.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Bridge Commercial and Solutions teams; oversee development to align with architecture and quality.
• Ownership: Own technical architecture and delivery of bespoke customer integrations.
• Customer Integration & GTM Support: Engage with end-users during deals to tailor IT/hardware integration.
