Job summary

Qblox, Delft-based quantum hardware company, is seeking a Software Engineer in the Solutions Team to rapidly develop Python-based integrations and tailor our off-the-shelf products for enterprise customers.

You will shape high-level architectures, decide when to use Python, C/C++, or FPGA adaptations, and lead cross-functional delivery with a focus on fast value realization, working with AI coding agents to accelerate development and documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional engineering experience in complex hardware/software environments.
• Deep understanding of full-stack architecture from hardware interfaces to Python APIs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with customer-focused delivery.
• Leadership and clear communication to guide developers without heavy management.

Responsibilities

• Architectural design and high-level decision making across Python, C/C++, and FPGA options.
• Create execution plans and blueprints for the Solutions team to build against.
• Bridge commercial needs with engineering delivery; ensure technical integrity and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with quantum application experts to align use-cases with real customer needs.
