Obsidian is seeking a meticulous Telugu annotator to work on publicly accessible Telugu PDFs. You will bound and label all meaningful regions, assign reading order, and ensure character-accurate transcription of Telugu text, including handwritten content.

The role involves recording document metadata, managing relationships between regions, and participating in a two-step expert review process to ensure layout diversity and quality.

Qualifikationen

• Native Telugu speaker with full command of Telugu script and orthography.
• Experience in annotation, transcription, localization, subtitling, proofreading, journalism, or regional-language data review.

Aufgaben

• Source publicly accessible Telugu PDFs with multimodal elements and record the source.
• Annotate page structure by bounding meaningful regions and assigning component types and reading-order indices.
• Link regions to their parent figure or table and ensure correct reading order across columns.
• Transcribe all Telugu text exactly, including handwritten content, flagging unclear regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions, and flags for tables, formulas and handwriting.
• Review a colleague's work in a second Telugu expert review cycle.
