Job summary

Mercor is seeking PDF Annotation & Transcription Experts – Korean for a remote contract role. You will source Korean PDFs with multimodal elements, annotate page structures, assign types and reading-order indices, and transcribe Hangul faithfully.

You will record metadata, capture relationships between regions and parents, and ensure exact character-level accuracy. All work undergoes peer review by a second Korean expert, with emphasis on precise taxonomy and handling hanja.

Qualifications

• Native Korean speaker with Hangul and hanja fluency.
• Experience in bilingual transcription or editorial work.
• Exact character-level accuracy in transcription.
• Systematic taxonomy application across pages.

Responsibilities

• Source documents by locating Korean PDFs with multimodal elements.
• Annotate structure by bounding regions and assigning types.
