MIMETAS in Leiden, the Netherlands, seeks a part-time Technician to support daily lab operations in a fast-growing organ-on-a-chip environment. The role focuses on basic cell culture, lab logistics, and inventory, with 16–24 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

You will maintain equipment, manage stock, ensure lab cleanliness, coordinate with suppliers, and contribute to safety and compliance. English is required; Dutch is a plus and GLP/QC experience is advantageous.

• You have a degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology or a related field
• Experienced in managing laboratory facilities
• You enjoy communicating with colleagues and suppliers
• You can plan multiple tasks, set priorities and manage time
• Experience with GLP and QC is an advantage
• Experience with tissue culture is an advantage
• Motivated, flexible and positive attitude
• Proficiency in English; Dutch preferred

MIMETAS is looking for a part-time Technician (basic cell culture, laboratory logistics and inventory) to support daily laboratory operations at for its facilities in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Your tasks will include

• Managing the maintenance of the tissue culture laboratory equipment;
• Maintaining the stock levels of the tissue culture laboratories;
• Responsible for clean laboratories and equipment;
• Managing the logistics of the tissue culture laboratories;
• Actively working on safety in the laboratories.

Your profile

• You have a degree in Biotechnology or Life Sciences, Laboratory Technology or a related field (MLO/HLO);
• You are experienced in managing laboratory facilities;
• You enjoy communicating with both colleagues and suppliers;
• You can efficiently plan multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage time restraints;
• Experience with GLP and QC is an advantage;
• Experience with tissue culture is an advantage;
• Motivated, flexible and positive work attitude;
• Proficiency in the English language;
• Proficiency of the Dutch language is a plus.
