Job description

Anoigo has been operating at the heart of the Dutch digital identity ecosystem since 2002. We connect applications to trusted authentication methods such as DigiD, eHerkenning and international identity providers. Every year we process more than 250 million authentications, and over 1,000 applications rely on our platform.

Our name comes from the Greek word Anoigo, meaning to open. We open up new possibilities for our customers by connecting systems that normally do not easily work together. We also work openly ourselves: our platform is built on open standards and open-source components. Transparency, reliability and collaboration are central to how we operate.

What will you do?

As a Support Engineer, you help organizations successfully use our authentication platform. You will handle first and second line of support and work on real technical issues involving protocols, servers and security that go beyond standard IT support questions.

  • Handling and analysing incoming support requests
  • Investigating login and authentication issues across multiple systems
  • Troubleshooting SAML and OpenID Connect authentication flows
  • Installing and configuring new customer environments
  • Managing and replacing signing and TLS certificates
  • Analysing log files and identifying root causes of incidents
  • Helping restore services after outages or configuration errors
  • Advising customers and technical contacts on integrations
  • Documenting solutions and improving internal knowledge

You will regularly work directly with developers, architects and system administrators at customer organisations.

What kind of person fits this role?

You enjoy figuring out why something works or why it doesn’t.

You are curious, patient and not afraid to dive into logs or technical documentation.

You do not need to know everything yet, but you do need technical affinity and the motivation to learn.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has at least 2 years of relevant technical IT experience
  • Communicates clearly in Dutch and English
  • Is structured and analytical in problem solving
  • Takes ownership of issues and follows them through to resolution
  • Is comfortable talking to both technical and non-technical users
Your technical experience includes:
  • Java
  • Web servers such as Apache and Tomcat
  • Certificates, HTTPS and basic networking
  • Authentication protocols (SAML, OpenID Connect) — big plus!
  • Service management tools (Jira JSM)

You are not expected to know all of this already. We will help you grow into the role.

What we offer
  • A specialised technical role in a unique niche (digital identity & authentication)
  • Possibility to learn security, authentication and large-scale web integrations
  • An environment where you can grow towards security, DevOps or identity engineering
  • A gross monthly salary of €3,400 – €4,400 (based on 40 hours and experience)
  • Bonus opportunities
  • A company pension scheme
