Job summary

Avular is seeking a Technical Product Owner to define and prioritise software and control features across onboard drone systems, ground control systems, and related applications. You will work closely with software and control engineers, as well as stakeholders from other engineering disciplines and the business.

You will thrive balancing priorities and stakeholder needs to deliver software enabling business goals, with a technical background for deep discussions and a roadmap ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading software development with teams of over 10 people.
• Experience overseeing development and delivery of software to end customers.
• Strong understanding of building robust systems for dynamic, real-world environments.
• Strong understanding of Scrum/Agile in combination with V-model-based hardware development.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field.
• Experience with drones/mobile robotics is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritise software and control features across onboard drone systems, ground control systems, and related applications.
• Collaborate with software and control engineers and stakeholders from other disciplines and the business.
• Own roadmap and timeline for software development.

We’re looking for a Technical Product Owner to join the Avular Team!

At Avular, we create gorgeous mobile robots that transform the way industries work. As a Technical Product Owner at Avular, you will be the key player who defines and prioritises software and control features across onboard drone systems, ground control systems, and other related applications. As we develop everything in-house, you will directly work with the software and control engineers, as well as the managing stakeholders from other engineering disciplines and the business.

You love balancing priorities and stakeholder needs to deliver software that enables the various business goals

Have a technical background and don’t shy away from deep technical discussions

Thrive in an environment where things aren’t yet set in stone, where you can contribute to improving our way of working

3+ Years of relevant experience leading software development with teams of over 10 people

Experience overseeing the development and delivery of software to end customers

Proven understanding of the intricacies of building robust systems for dynamic, real-world environments

Strong understanding of Scrum/ Agile in combination with V-model-based hardware development

Strong communication skills for aligning with stakeholders and the engineering teams

Able to take ownership of a roadmap and timeline

Comfortable engaging with topics across the software stack—from embedded systems controlling actuators to application-level software

Have a bachelor's or master’s degree in a technical field

If you have experience with drones/ mobile robotics, that is a strong plus
