Job summary

TrueNoord is seeking a Technical Manager to support the global fleet’s technical asset management across the lease lifecycle. You will monitor technical performance, status, and compliance documentation, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on aviation engineering knowledge, strong data analysis abilities, and experience with lease/asset management processes. Amsterdam-based with hybrid work, potential travel for audits.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Technical Manager to join our growing Technical team in Amsterdam.

In this role, you will support the technical asset management of TrueNoord's global fleet of regional aircraft throughout the lease lifecycle. You will help ensure that aircraft technical performance, maintenance status, compliance documentation and lease-related technical obligations are effectively monitored, controlled and accurately reported.

Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to maintenance forecasting, audit readiness, maintenance reserve processing and a range of technical asset management activities that help protect asset value and support sound business decision-making.

Location

The role is based at our Schiphol office in the Amsterdam area. We work on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three office days per week. Occasional international travel may be required for technical audits or aircraft inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the technical status and performance of assigned aircraft throughout the lease lifecycle, identifying emerging risks and ensuring accurate reporting.
• Maintain and provide accurate aircraft specification sheets and maintenance status summaries. Ensure compliance with relevant documentation standards.
• Ensure timely reporting, as well as validating, processing and entering reported data into the lease management system.
• Extract data and generate management reports for internal stakeholders.
• Develop accurate maintenance and cash flow forecasts for existing and new leases.Organise technical audits (as required) and coordinate inputs from customers, MROs, CAMOs, and consultants.
• Ensure TrueNoord remains up-to-date on relevant aircraft technical documentation and records.Process Maintenance Reserve claims in line with lease requirements and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of aviation technical operations within an airline, MRO, CAMO, or leasing context.
• Good understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes, technical records and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data, support forecasting activities and identify emerging risks
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong focus on data quality and integrity
• Proactive and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborative teamplayer who builds effective relationships

Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant aviation technical experience with an airline, maintenance facility, aviation leasing company, or CAMO.
• High IT competency, including:
  • Working with databases and structured data
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel especially) or equivalent
  • Comfort working with lease management/asset management systems (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation engineering (e.g. HvA), or equivalent.
• Additional training/certifications: Nice-to-have depending on internal standards (e.g., CAMO-related exposure, audit training, forecasting tools).

Language

Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential. Dutch or other languages is a plus.
