Job summary

The Technical Designer role sits within PVH's Amsterdam development team, supporting the technical development of garments from concept through production. The role translates design direction into accurate technical specifications and solutions that meet fit, construction, quality and production standards.

You will collaborate with Design, Merchandising and suppliers, manage priorities on the seasonal critical path, and apply specialist garment-construction knowledge to deliver production-ready

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in technical garment development.
• Knowledge of pattern cutting is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, measurements and production considerations.
• Proficiency with CAD or pattern-cutting software; 3D tools such as Browzwear or Gerber 3D are beneficial.
• Clear written and spoken English; ability to communicate technical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical development of garments from initial concept through production, translating designs into accurate measurements and specifications.
• Maintain blocks, measurement standards and technical records for assigned product areas.
• Prepare for and participate in fit sessions with cross-functional teams; assess fit and construction and provide clear recommendations.
• Document fit decisions and communicate amendments to supplier partners; ensure traceability of samples and specs.
• Analyze and resolve straightforward technical issues using established methods; escalate higher-risk items as needed.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, suppliers and QA to communicate requirements and ensure timely action.
