Job summary

Frencken is seeking an experienced Team Leader CNC Milling to guide a skilled CNC milling team on our precision manufacturing floor. You will coordinate daily production, assign workloads, monitor progress, and provide technical support to ensure parts meet drawings, tolerances and quality standards.

With strong CNC milling knowledge and leadership instincts, you will drive continuous improvement, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor team members.

Qualifications

• Several years hands-on experience as CNC Miller or similar machining professional.
• Experience in coordinating, senior, supervisory, or Team Leader positions or the ability to take this step.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling and machining processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, GD&T and tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, machining strategies and measurement techniques.
• Experience with high-precision components in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of quality requirements and dimensional inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support others with technical problems.
• Structured and quality-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication and people-management skills.
• Ability to set priorities and stay organized in a dynamic production environment.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and support the CNC milling team during daily production activities.
• Plan and distribute work within the team based on production priorities, capacity and deadlines.
• Monitor daily production progress and take action when quality, planning or output deviates from expectations.
• Provide technical support to CNC millers when machining or production issues arise.
• Ensure components are manufactured according to drawings, specifications, tolerances and quality requirements.
• Support setup and optimization of CNC milling machines, processes and production methods.
• Ensure correct use of tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment and machining parameters.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Planning to resolve issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements related to productivity, quality, lead time and efficiency.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions when issues occur.
• Ensure employees follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Coach team members and contribute to their development.
• Assist onboarding and training of new CNC employees.
• Encourage ownership, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Participate in daily production meetings and communicate priorities and results.

Are you an experienced CNC Miller/Frezer who is ready to combine your technical expertise with leadership responsibilities?

As a Team Leader CNC Milling, you will lead a team of skilled CNC professionals within our machining environment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the team while ensuring that production runs safely, efficiently and according to the required quality and delivery standards.

This is a hands‑on leadership position. You understand CNC milling processes, can support your team with technical challenges, and know what is required to manufacture complex, high‑precision components. At the same time, you create structure on the shop floor, monitor performance and help your team continuously improve the way they work.

What will you do?

As Team Leader CNC Milling, you will:

• Lead, coordinate and support the CNC milling team during daily production activities.

You have:

• Several years of hands‑on experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Frezer, CNC Machinist or similar machining professional.
• Experience in a coordinating, senior, supervisory or Team Leader position, or the ambition and capability to take this next step.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling and machining processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, GD&T and tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, machining strategies and measurement techniques.
• Experience working with high‑precision components, preferably within a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of quality requirements and dimensional inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support others with technical problems.
• A structured and quality‑oriented way of working.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills.
• The ability to set priorities and remain organized in a dynamic production environment.
• Good command of English. Dutch mandatory

Experience with 5-axis CNC milling, CAD/CAM programming, Heidenhain/Fanuc/Siemens controls, Lean Manufacturing or continuous‑improvement methodologies would be considered an advantage, depending on the machines and systems used within the department.
