Job summary

Frencken invites applications for a Team Leader CNC Milling in the Netherlands. The role combines hands-on CNC milling leadership with team development and daily production planning.

You will guide a skilled team to meet tight tolerances and maintain high quality in a high‑tech manufacturing environment. You will lead from the front, mentor machinists, and continuously improve processes while ensuring safety and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Several years hands‑on experience as a CNC Miller or similar
• Experience in coordinating or team‑lead roles
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling processes and GD&T
• Experience reading complex drawings and tolerances
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures and measurement techniques
• Experience with high‑precision components in a high‑tech environment
• Understanding of quality requirements and dimensional inspection

• Structured, quality‑oriented work style
• Good English; Dutch language is mandatory for the role

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and support the CNC milling team during daily production activities.
• Plan and distribute work within the team based on production priorities, capacity and deadlines.
• Monitor daily production progress and take action when quality, planning or output deviates.
• Provide technical support to CNC millers when machining or production issues arise.
• Ensure components are manufactured according to drawings, tolerances and quality requirements.
• Support setup and optimization of CNC milling machines, processes and methods.
• Ensure correct use of tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment and machining parameters.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Planning to resolve issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in productivity, quality and lead time.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions when issues occur.
• Ensure safety procedures and quality standards are followed.
• Coach team members, provide feedback and support onboarding of new CNC staff.
• Encourage ownership, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Participate in daily production meetings to communicate priorities and results.

About The Role

What will you do?

As Team Leader CNC Milling, You Will

• Lead, coordinate and support the CNC milling team during daily production activities.

What do you bring?

You Have

• Several years of hands‑on experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Frezer, CNC Machinist or similar machining professional.
• Experience in a coordinating, senior, supervisory or Team Leader position, or the ambition and capability to take this next step.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling and machining processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, GD&T and tolerances.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, machining strategies and measurement techniques.
• Experience working with high‑precision components, preferably within a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of quality requirements and dimensional inspection.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support others with technical problems.
• A structured and quality‑oriented way of working.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills.
• The ability to set priorities and remain organized in a dynamic production environment.
• A continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Good command of English. Dutch mandatory
• Experience with 5‑axis CNC milling, CAD/CAM programming, Heidenhain/Fanuc/Siemens controls, Lean Manufacturing or continuous‑improvement methodologies would be considered an advantage, depending on the machines and systems used within the department.
