Job summary

We seek a senior business development leader to drive growth, manage a global travel schedule (60–70%), and lead a customer-focused sales organization.

Qualifications

• University degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or engineering.
• 5+ years in business development or key account management.
• Experience leading teams.
• Willingness to travel globally and locally (60–70%).
• Proven experience in international collaboration and cross-cultural settings.
• Strong leadership and collaborative skills; fluent English; German or other languages a plus.

• Provide continuous coaching, talent development, and performance management to build a high-performing, customer-focused sales organization.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, monitor industry trends, and assess competitive activity to support commercial decisions.
• Maintain and expand relationships with key customers, ensuring outstanding satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
• Contribute to the further development of the product portfolio by collecting and preparing market and competitor information for marketing and strategic product decisions.

• Provide continuous coaching, talent development, and performance management to build a high-performing, customer-focused sales organization

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, monitor industry trends, and assess competitive activity to support commercial decisions

• Maintain and expand relationships with key customers, ensuring outstanding satisfaction and long-term partnerships

• Contribute to the further development of the product portfolio by collecting and preparing market and competitor information, which will serve as a basis for marketing activities (brand awareness) and strategic product development decisions

That's what you bring along:

• University degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or engineering

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development or key account management and leading teams

• Willingness to travel globally and locally (approximately 60 to 70%)

• Proven experience in international collaboration with strong ability to navigate cultural differences

• Strong leadership with excellent collaboration skills

• English fluent in spoken and written form (C1 level). German and additional language skills are an advantage
