Tax Manager I Amsterdam, Netherlands (on-site, full-time)
About the role
We are looking for a Tax Manager to own the Dutch tax position of our holding structure. This is a hands-on role in a lean environment: you will set the tax strategy at holding level and personally prepare, review and file.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and work within a small senior team (legal counsel, finance and operations), alongside external Big 4 and boutique advisors in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Türkiye and France.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own Dutch corporate income tax compliance for our BV entities: CIT returns, provisional assessments, fiscal unity considerations, dividend withholding tax filings and exemption documentation
- Own Dutch VAT compliance and advisory, including input VAT recovery, cross-border services, reverse-charge rules and the VAT treatment of management and shared-service charges
- Safeguard Dutch substance and place-of-effective-management requirements together with Legal Counsel (board meeting cadence, decision-making evidence, payroll, premises and local directors)
- Monitor and manage exposure under the conditional withholding tax, ATAD earnings-stripping and anti-hybrid rules, and Pillar Two obligations at group level
- Manage DAC6 assessments and reporting, CRS/FATCA classifications and UBO-register consistency
- Manage the tax treatment of inbound and outbound dividends: participation exemption, EU Parent-Subsidiary Directive, treaty relief and foreign fiscal-representation processes (including France)
- Support intercompany financing, guarantees and security structures from a Dutch and treaty perspective, including interaction with the Turkish parent's CFC and participation-exemption rules
- Maintain transfer pricing policies and documentation (Master File / Local File) for management fees, shared-service charges, intercompany financing and guarantees
- Act as primary contact for the Belastingdienst: horizontal monitoring, rulings/APAs and audits
- Coordinate external advisors across NL, TR, CH and FR, and turn their input into clear recommendations for the board
- Provide tax input on acquisitions, disposals, demergers, restructurings, refinancings and dividend planning
- Track Dutch and EU legislative developments and translate them into concrete action for the structure
What We're Looking For
- 7–12 years of Dutch tax experience, ideally combining Big 4 or law firm international tax practice with in-house holding company experience
- Deep knowledge of Dutch corporate tax law (participation exemption, withholding taxes, substance and residency) and international standards (ATAD, Pillar Two, transfer pricing documentation), plus working knowledge of tax treaty application
- Practical experience with Dutch employment tax: wage tax, directors' remuneration, social security and cross-border employment
- Experience with multinational holding structures with non-EU parents is a strong plus, ideally Turkish or emerging-market
- Master's degree in tax law or fiscal economics; NOB or RB membership preferred
- Fluent English; Dutch strongly preferred; Turkish
- Precise, discreet and comfortable moving between strategic advice and hands-on filing, without a large support team
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Amsterdam area
What We Offer
- A senior, high-visibility role with direct access to the Managing Director and the board
- Real ownership of the tax function for an international group with a Turkish parent
- A small, collaborative team and a varied, international workload
